　　Main Uses

　　Organic Synthesis Intermediate

　　Used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals (e.g., local anesthetic procaine, antihistamines), pesticides (e.g., insecticides, herbicides), and dyes (e.g., azo dye intermediates);

　　Synthesis of surfactants (e.g., cationic surfactants used in fabric softeners, bactericides), rubber accelerators, corrosion inhibitors, etc.

　　Gas Purifying Agent

　　Utilizing its alkalinity, it absorbs acidic components in industrial gases (such as CO₂, H₂S, SO₂, etc.), and is commonly used in desulfurization or decarbonization processes for natural gas and synthesis gas.

　　Solvent and Extractant

　　Due to its strong polarity and good solubility, it can serve as a solvent for certain organic reactions or as an extractant to separate rare metal ions (e.g., extracting precious metals from ores).

　　Other Applications

　　As a catalyst or initiator for polymerization reactions (e.g., used in the synthesis of polyurethane foam);

　　Used in the preparation of explosive intermediates, dye fixing agents, electroplating additives, etc.
